What it draws
The Text tool places a block of free-form text anchored to a specific price and time on the chart. It moves with the bars as you scroll and zoom, keeping your words tied to the moment they describe.
How to draw it
- Pick Text from the left toolbar (Text & Annotations group).
- Click on the chart where the text should be anchored, then type your text into the editor that appears; click away or confirm to finish. Select the text later to edit its content or style.
How traders use it
- Write the reasoning for a trade right next to the entry bar so your journal lives on the chart itself.
- Label named structures such as 'Wave 3' or 'Right shoulder' directly on the pattern.
- Leave observations like 'volume dried up here' at the exact bars they refer to for later review.

Double-click the drawing (or use its floating toolbar → gear) to open settings:

Editing & managing
- Move / adjust: drag the drawing or any anchor handle; magnet mode snaps points to OHLC values.
- Clone / lock / hide / delete from the floating toolbar or right-click menu.
- Templates: save the current style from the settings dialog and reapply it to new drawings.
- Every action is undoable (⌘Z / Ctrl+Z).
Watch out for
- Text anchored to price and time can overlap candles or other drawings as the chart scales, so keep entries short and reposition them when the layout gets crowded.
