Anchored Text

Pin your daily bias or market thesis in a corner so it stays visible across all scrolling and zooming.

What it draws

Anchored Text places a text block that stays fixed to a screen position rather than to price and time. No matter how you scroll, zoom, or change symbols' scale, it remains in the same spot in the chart window.

How to draw it

  1. Pick Anchored Text from the left toolbar (Text & Annotations group).
  2. Click where you want the text to sit on the screen, then type your content and confirm. The text keeps that screen position regardless of chart scrolling or zooming.

How traders use it

  • Pin your daily bias or market thesis in a corner so it stays visible across all scrolling and zooming.
  • Keep standing rules like 'no trades in the first five minutes' permanently in view as a discipline reminder.
  • Label a chart layout with its purpose, for example 'Higher-timeframe context', when running multiple charts.

Settings reference

Double-click the drawing (or use its floating toolbar → gear) to open settings:

Editing & managing

  • Move / adjust: drag the drawing or any anchor handle; magnet mode snaps points to OHLC values.
  • Clone / lock / hide / delete from the floating toolbar or right-click menu.
  • Templates: save the current style from the settings dialog and reapply it to new drawings.
  • Every action is undoable (⌘Z / Ctrl+Z).

Watch out for

  • Because it ignores price and time, anchored text cannot refer to a specific bar or level; use the regular Text tool when the note belongs to a moment on the chart.
