What it draws
A risk/reward planning tool for a buy trade. It draws an entry line with a profit zone above and a stop zone below, and continuously reports the risk/reward ratio, price distances and projected profit and loss for the configured quantity.
How to draw it
- Pick Long Position from the left toolbar (Projection group).
- One click places the entry at the chosen price and time; default profit and stop levels appear immediately. Drag the top handle to set the take-profit, the bottom handle to set the stop-loss, and the side handles to stretch the time extent; quantity and account size are set in the tool's settings.
How traders use it
- Read the risk/reward ratio directly off the tool and skip setups below your minimum (many traders require at least 2:1).
- Enter your quantity in settings so the profit and loss zones display actual money amounts, not just points.
- Place the stop beyond a structural level (swing low, zone boundary) first, then see what target the geometry demands.
- Keep the tool on the chart during the trade as a live map of where price sits between stop and target.

Double-click the drawing (or use its floating toolbar → gear) to open settings:

Editing & managing
- Move / adjust: drag the drawing or any anchor handle; magnet mode snaps points to OHLC values.
- Clone / lock / hide / delete from the floating toolbar or right-click menu.
- Templates: save the current style from the settings dialog and reapply it to new drawings.
- Every action is undoable (⌘Z / Ctrl+Z).
Watch out for
- The tool plans a trade but does not place orders — the displayed P&L also ignores fees, slippage and overnight costs.
