Pitchfan

Treat the central ray like a pitchfork median: price gravitating to it confirms the structure, riding an outer ray shows directional pressure.

What it draws

Combines a pitchfork's three-point anchoring with a fan of rays: lines radiate from the pivot through Fibonacci-ratio divisions of the span between the two channel points. The result is fan-style sloped support/resistance organized around a median line.

How to draw it

  1. Pick Pitchfan from the left toolbar (Fibonacci group).
  2. Three points, pitchfork-style: click the pivot, then the subsequent swing high and swing low; fan rays are drawn from the pivot at fib divisions between them.

How traders use it

  • Treat the central ray like a pitchfork median: price gravitating to it confirms the structure, riding an outer ray shows directional pressure.
  • Use the fib-spaced rays as graduated pullback levels — each ray surrendered hands support/resistance to the next one out.
  • Enter on rejections at a ray in the direction of the pivot-defined trend, with the adjacent ray as the stop reference.
  • Watch for price escaping beyond the outermost ray as the sign that the entire pivot structure has failed.

Editing & managing

  • Move / adjust: drag the drawing or any anchor handle; magnet mode snaps points to OHLC values.
  • Clone / lock / hide / delete from the floating toolbar or right-click menu.
  • Templates: save the current style from the settings dialog and reapply it to new drawings.
  • Every action is undoable (⌘Z / Ctrl+Z).

Watch out for

  • Like the pitchfork it inherits total dependence on the three chosen pivots, and its many rays make some line 'work' by chance — demand repeated respect of a specific ray.
