Note

Write detailed trade post-mortems at the entry bar, including what you saw, what you did, and what you would change.

What it draws

The Note places a small marker on the chart that expands to show a longer text passage when opened. It keeps detailed commentary attached to a bar without covering the chart with a wall of text.

How to draw it

  1. Pick Note from the left toolbar (Text & Annotations group).
  2. Click on the chart where the note should be anchored, then type the note's content in the editor and confirm. The note collapses to a compact marker; click it to read or edit the full text.

How traders use it

  • Write detailed trade post-mortems at the entry bar, including what you saw, what you did, and what you would change.
  • Attach earnings or news summaries to the bars where the events occurred for future context.
  • Record your emotional state during a trade to spot behavioral patterns across your journal.

Settings reference

Double-click the drawing (or use its floating toolbar → gear) to open settings:

Editing & managing

  • Move / adjust: drag the drawing or any anchor handle; magnet mode snaps points to OHLC values.
  • Clone / lock / hide / delete from the floating toolbar or right-click menu.
  • Templates: save the current style from the settings dialog and reapply it to new drawings.
  • Every action is undoable (⌘Z / Ctrl+Z).

Watch out for

  • Collapsed notes are easy to overlook during fast scrolling, so pair critical ones with a more visible marker like a flag or arrow.
