What it draws
The sell-side counterpart of the Long Position tool. It draws an entry line with the profit zone below and the stop zone above, reporting risk/reward, price distances and projected profit and loss for the configured quantity.
How to draw it
- Pick Short Position from the left toolbar (Projection group).
- One click places the entry at the chosen price and time. Drag the bottom handle to set the take-profit, the top handle to set the stop-loss, and the side handles to adjust the time extent; quantity is configured in the tool's settings.
How traders use it
- Verify the risk/reward ratio before entry — the readout updates live as you drag the stop and target handles.
- Anchor the stop above a swing high or resistance level, then judge whether the resulting target is realistically reachable.
- Use the quantity setting to see rupee/currency P&L and confirm the risked amount fits your per-trade risk limit.
- Compare stacked long and short position tools at a decision level to visualize both sides of a breakout plan.

Editing & managing
- Move / adjust: drag the drawing or any anchor handle; magnet mode snaps points to OHLC values.
- Clone / lock / hide / delete from the floating toolbar or right-click menu.
- Templates: save the current style from the settings dialog and reapply it to new drawings.
- Every action is undoable (⌘Z / Ctrl+Z).
Watch out for
- Short trades carry asymmetric risk (price can rise without bound) that the symmetric-looking zones do not convey — respect the stop.
