Gann Square Fixed

Use it when you need the 1x1 and related angles to be identical across charts and sessions, unaffected by zoom or the particular swing chosen.

What it draws

Draws a Gann square whose proportions are locked to a fixed price-per-bar scale, so its diagonals keep true Gann angles regardless of the swing selected. It gives a consistent, scale-stable square for traders following orthodox Gann methodology.

How to draw it

  1. Pick Gann Square Fixed from the left toolbar (Gann group).
  2. Two points: click the starting pivot, then drag toward the second point to set direction and span; the square's internal angles stay locked to the fixed scale.

How traders use it

  • Use it when you need the 1x1 and related angles to be identical across charts and sessions, unaffected by zoom or the particular swing chosen.
  • Read the main diagonal as the time-price balance line: price holding above a rising 1x1 within the square is a strong trend by Gann rules.
  • Use the square's internal grid intersections as candidate reversal coordinates where a price division meets a time division.
  • Calibrate the fixed scale (points per bar) to the instrument once, then reuse the same setting for all analysis on that instrument.

Editing & managing

  • Move / adjust: drag the drawing or any anchor handle; magnet mode snaps points to OHLC values.
  • Clone / lock / hide / delete from the floating toolbar or right-click menu.
  • Templates: save the current style from the settings dialog and reapply it to new drawings.
  • Every action is undoable (⌘Z / Ctrl+Z).

Watch out for

  • The output is only as good as the chosen price-per-bar calibration — an arbitrary scale produces arbitrary 'angles', which is the most common way this tool is misused.
