Arc

Trace a rounded bottom or saucer base to show the gradual shift from selling to buying pressure.

What it draws

The Arc draws a curved segment bowed between two endpoints, with the amount of bow set by a third point. It suits rounded structures and smooth transitions that straight lines misrepresent.

How to draw it

  1. Pick Arc from the left toolbar (Shapes group).
  2. Click to set the first endpoint, click again for the second endpoint, then move the pointer to bow the curve and click a third time to fix its shape.

How traders use it

  • Trace a rounded bottom or saucer base to show the gradual shift from selling to buying pressure.
  • Sketch the curved deceleration of a trend as momentum fades into a top.
  • Illustrate a cup formation's curve when annotating a cup-and-handle setup for your journal.

Settings reference

Editing & managing

  • Move / adjust: drag the drawing or any anchor handle; magnet mode snaps points to OHLC values.
  • Clone / lock / hide / delete from the floating toolbar or right-click menu.
  • Templates: save the current style from the settings dialog and reapply it to new drawings.
  • Every action is undoable (⌘Z / Ctrl+Z).

Watch out for

  • Arcs imply smooth, idealized structure, so treat them as illustrative annotations rather than levels that price is expected to respect precisely.
