Callout

Point at your entry candle with a balloon explaining the setup, keeping the text clear of the price action.

What it draws

The Callout is a text balloon with a pointer line connecting it to a specific spot on the chart. It lets you write commentary at a comfortable distance while unambiguously indicating which bar or level it describes.

How to draw it

  1. Pick Callout from the left toolbar (Text & Annotations group).
  2. Click first on the exact chart point you want the callout to reference, then click again where the balloon should sit, and type your text. Drag the balloon or the pointer's tip later to adjust either end.

How traders use it

  • Point at your entry candle with a balloon explaining the setup, keeping the text clear of the price action.
  • Explain why a specific wick mattered, such as a liquidity sweep, without covering the wick itself.
  • Build teaching charts where each key moment gets a callout, creating a readable annotated story.

Settings reference

Double-click the drawing (or use its floating toolbar → gear) to open settings:

Editing & managing

  • Move / adjust: drag the drawing or any anchor handle; magnet mode snaps points to OHLC values.
  • Clone / lock / hide / delete from the floating toolbar or right-click menu.
  • Templates: save the current style from the settings dialog and reapply it to new drawings.
  • Every action is undoable (⌘Z / Ctrl+Z).

Watch out for

  • Both the balloon and its target are anchored to price and time, so after heavy zooming the pointer line can stretch awkwardly and need repositioning.
