Fib Speed Resistance Arcs

Trade pullbacks that stall at the 38.2% or 50% arc in a strong trend, with the 61.8% arc as the deeper, last-defense zone.

What it draws

Draws arcs centered on the end of a trend swing with radii at Fibonacci ratios (typically 38.2%, 50%, 61.8%) of the swing's length. The arcs curve back over the retracement area, so the support or resistance they imply moves with time as well as price.

How to draw it

  1. Pick Fib Speed Resistance Arcs from the left toolbar (Fibonacci group).
  2. Two points: click the swing start, then the swing end (the arcs' center); arcs are drawn at the ratio radii back across the pullback zone.

How traders use it

  • Trade pullbacks that stall at the 38.2% or 50% arc in a strong trend, with the 61.8% arc as the deeper, last-defense zone.
  • Because arcs advance with time, a sideways market eventually 'drifts through' an arc — that quiet crossing itself signals the pullback consumed its time allowance.
  • Combine arcs with straight fib retracements of the same swing: a level where the arc and the horizontal line intersect is a two-factor zone.
  • Use a decisive close beyond the outer arc as the cue that the retracement has become a reversal.

Editing & managing

  • Move / adjust: drag the drawing or any anchor handle; magnet mode snaps points to OHLC values.
  • Clone / lock / hide / delete from the floating toolbar or right-click menu.
  • Templates: save the current style from the settings dialog and reapply it to new drawings.
  • Every action is undoable (⌘Z / Ctrl+Z).

Watch out for

  • Like all curved tools, arc positions change with chart zoom and scale — analyze with a locked scale, and treat arc touches as zones rather than exact prices.
