What it does
An aggregate gauge that polls a basket of standard technical signals — moving-average positions and crossovers on one side, oscillator readings such as RSI, stochastic, CCI, MACD and momentum on the other — and tallies their individual buy, sell and neutral votes into a single rating. The result is displayed as a summary verdict ranging from strong sell to strong buy, usually with separate sub-ratings for the moving-average group and the oscillator group. It condenses a broad technical checklist into one glanceable consensus.
How to add it
Click Indicators (ƒx) in the header.
Search “Technical Ratings” and click the result.
Hover its legend row and click the gear to open settings.
How traders use it
- Use the overall rating as a quick first-pass screen for whether the technical weight of evidence is bullish, bearish or mixed on the chosen timeframe.
- Check agreement between the moving-average vote and the oscillator vote: alignment strengthens the signal, disagreement usually means a trend with an overextended or mean-reverting short-term condition.
- Compare ratings across several timeframes; setups where daily and weekly ratings agree are higher quality.
- Treat rating transitions (for example neutral to buy) as more informative than a static reading.

Tips
- Use Add to favorites in the legend menu; starred studies surface at the top of the picker.
- Reference levels (where the study has them) are editable — tune them to the instrument you're trading.
- Hide the study from the legend eye instead of removing it when you only want it out of the way temporarily.
- A custom timeframe input lets it compute on a higher interval than the chart.
Watch out for
- It is an unweighted vote of generic indicators, many of which are correlated, so a strong rating is not a probability of success and lags at turning points.
- Ratings ignore fundamentals, news, liquidity and market regime; they should trigger further analysis, not replace it.
