What it does
Ichimoku Kinko Hyo is a complete trend system of five lines built from midpoints of highs and lows rather than closes. The Tenkan-sen averages the 9-period high and low, the Kijun-sen the 26-period high and low; Senkou Span A (the average of those two) and Senkou Span B (the 52-period midpoint) are plotted 26 bars ahead and shaded to form the cloud, while the Chikou Span plots the current close 26 bars back. Price relative to the cloud gives trend, the cloud ahead gives future support and resistance.
How to add it
Click Indicators (ƒx) in the header.
Search “Ichimoku Cloud” and click the result.
Hover its legend row and click the gear to open settings.
How traders use it
- Read the big picture first: price above the cloud is bullish, below is bearish, inside is neutral or transitioning.
- Trade Tenkan/Kijun crosses: the Tenkan crossing above the Kijun is a buy signal, strongest when it happens above the cloud.
- Use the cloud as support and resistance: pullbacks to the top of a bullish cloud are buying zones, with the cloud's thickness indicating how strong the zone is.
- Confirm with the Chikou Span: signals are more reliable when the lagging line is also clear of price 26 bars back.
- Watch future cloud twists (Span A crossing Span B ahead of price) as early hints of a trend change.

Tips
- Drag the indicator to its own pane from the legend ⋯ menu if it crowds the price chart.
- Double-click any of its lines to jump straight into the settings dialog.
- Save the configured chart as a study template (Indicators menu) to reapply this exact setup elsewhere.
- This indicator accepts another symbol — leave it empty to use the chart's own symbol.
Watch out for
- The many components lag and the system performs poorly in ranging markets, where price slices through the cloud repeatedly.
- The chart can feel cluttered and signals conflict across components, requiring a strict rule hierarchy.
