What it does
Auto Key Levels automatically detects and draws horizontal support and resistance lines from the chart's own price history. It scans for swing highs and swing lows using a pivot-strength rule (a bar higher or lower than several neighbors on each side), then clusters pivots that occur near the same price into a single level, ranking levels by how many touches they have and how recent they are. The result is an objective map of the prices where the market has repeatedly turned.
How to add it
Click Indicators (ƒx) in the header.
Search “Auto Key Levels” and click the result.
Hover its legend row and click the gear to open settings.
How traders use it
- Trade reactions at the levels: look for reversal setups (rejection wicks, engulfing bars) at heavily touched levels, and breakout setups when price closes decisively through one.
- A broken resistance level that later holds as support (or vice versa) is a classic role-reversal entry with a stop just beyond the level.
- Give more weight to levels with three or more touches and to those aligned across timeframes; a daily level that coincides with an intraday cluster is stronger.
- Use levels for trade management: set targets at the next level in your direction and avoid entering just below resistance or just above support.
- Recheck levels after switching timeframes, since detection depends on the bars in view; higher-timeframe levels are generally more significant.

Every plot's color, line width and visibility can be changed on the Style tab. Precision, price-scale labels and status-line values are configurable at the bottom of the Style tab.
Tips
- Use Add to favorites in the legend menu; starred studies surface at the top of the picker.
- The legend eye toggles it off without losing your settings — handy for before/after comparisons.
- Its price-scale label can be switched off per-indicator at the bottom of the Style tab if the axis gets crowded.
Watch out for
- Pivot detection needs confirmation bars to the right, so the newest levels appear with delay and freshly forming swings are not yet marked.
- Levels are zones, not exact lines: clustering tolerance and lookback settings change which levels appear, and price frequently overshoots a level before respecting it.
