What it does
Combines Heiken Ashi candle smoothing with a Supertrend stop-and-reverse line, a pairing popularized in community scripts: the Supertrend's ATR-based trailing level is computed on Heiken Ashi values rather than raw prices, producing fewer and steadier flips. Heiken Ashi averaging suppresses one-bar noise while the Supertrend supplies an explicit trend state and trailing stop level. The combination targets clean trend riding with mechanical exits.
How to add it
Click Indicators (ƒx) in the header.
Search “Dext Heiken Ashi Super Trend by Ankit Kapoor” and click the result.
Hover its legend row and click the gear to open settings.
How traders use it
- Go with the Supertrend state: long while the line is below price (bullish), short or flat while above (bearish); the flip is the signal.
- Use the Supertrend line as the trailing stop; a close across it ends the trade.
- A run of strong same-colored Heiken Ashi candles with no opposing wicks alongside a bullish Supertrend marks the highest-conviction phase of the trend.
- Take flips only in the direction of a higher-timeframe trend filter to cut whipsaw losses in chop.

Tips
- The legend eye toggles it off without losing your settings — handy for before/after comparisons.
- Its price-scale label can be switched off per-indicator at the bottom of the Style tab if the axis gets crowded.
- Drag the indicator to its own pane from the legend ⋯ menu if it crowds the price chart.
Watch out for
- Heiken Ashi values are averaged prices, so signals computed on them lag real prices and backtests using HA prices as fills overstate results.
- Like all stop-and-reverse systems it loses steadily in sideways markets, where flips cluster and each one is a small loss.
