What it does
A premier-style transformation of RSI modeled on the Premier Stochastic concept: the RSI is normalized around its midpoint, double-smoothed with EMAs, and passed through an exponential normalization that maps the result into a bounded range between -1 and +1. The transformation compresses mid-range noise and expands behavior near the extremes, yielding a fast, smooth momentum curve with clearly defined outer thresholds. It aims to keep RSI's information while making its turns crisper.
How to add it
Click Indicators (ƒx) in the header.
Search “Dext Premier RSI Oscillator” and click the result.
Hover its legend row and click the gear to open settings.
How traders use it
- Readings pushing beyond roughly +0.9 mark stretched bullish momentum and beyond -0.9 stretched bearish momentum; hooks back from those extremes are reversal cues.
- The zero-line cross is the basic momentum-direction signal: above zero favors longs, below zero favors shorts.
- In trends, use only the extreme hooks against the pullback (for example a -0.9 hook up in an uptrend) as continuation entries.
- Confirm oscillator turns with a price trigger such as a swing-level break before entering.

Tips
- Use Add to favorites in the legend menu; starred studies surface at the top of the picker.
- Reference levels (where the study has them) are editable — tune them to the instrument you're trading.
- Hide the study from the legend eye instead of removing it when you only want it out of the way temporarily.
Watch out for
- The double smoothing and normalization make the oscillator elegant but derivative-of-a-derivative; in strong trends it hugs an extreme and its counter-trend hooks fail repeatedly.
- Threshold values are convention, not statistics; calibrate them against the symbol's own history.
