What it does
Pivot Points derive a set of horizontal support and resistance levels from the previous period's high, low and close. The classic central pivot P is (high + low + close) / 3, with R1 = 2P minus low, S1 = 2P minus high, and further levels (R2/S2, R3/S3) built from the prior range. Daily pivots are computed from yesterday's data and stay fixed all session, giving objective reference levels known in advance.
How to add it
Click Indicators (ƒx) in the header.
Search “Pivot Points” and click the result.
Hover its legend row and click the gear to open settings.
How traders use it
- Use the central pivot for bias: trading above P favors longs toward R1/R2, below P favors shorts toward S1/S2.
- Fade the outer levels in ranges: R1/S1 and R2/S2 often act as reversal zones for mean-reversion intraday trades.
- Trade breakout continuation: a strong open holding above R1 frequently extends to R2, especially with volume confirmation.
- Combine with other confluence: a pivot level lining up with VWAP or a prior day high strengthens the zone considerably.
- Weekly and monthly pivots frame swing trades the same way daily pivots frame intraday trades.

Tips
- Drag the indicator to its own pane from the legend ⋯ menu if it crowds the price chart.
- Double-click any of its lines to jump straight into the settings dialog.
- Save the configured chart as a study template (Indicators menu) to reapply this exact setup elsewhere.
- This indicator accepts another symbol — leave it empty to use the chart's own symbol.
Watch out for
- Levels are purely formulaic and carry no guarantee price will respect them; on trend days price ignores pivot after pivot.
- Different variants (Classic, Fibonacci, Camarilla, Woodie) give different levels, so crowd attention is split among them.
