Himanshu's Prahaar Indicator on a price chart

What it does

Prahaar is an indicator designed to convert directional signals on NIFTY Spot into structured ATM Call and Put option-buying setups. The indicator combines MACD, ADX, EMA trend alignment and an optional India VIX filter to identify directional opportunities. When a bullish setup appears, Prahaar generates a BUY ATM CALL signal; when a bearish setup appears, it generates a BUY ATM PUT signal

NIFTY Spot-Based Signals

Generates directional signals using NIFTY Spot price action and technical confirmation rather than relying on the option chart.

EMA Trend Alignment

Uses 5 EMA, 15 EMA and 50 EMA to confirm directional structure.

India VIX Gate

Optional volatility filter based on the previous day's India VIX close.

Multi-Level Profit Ladder

Projects multiple profit-taking levels based on the selected Prahaar variant.

How traders use it

  • The profit ladder consists of multiple predefined premium-gain levels. Depending on the variant, Prahaar uses 4, 5 or 6 rungs, with targets ranging from 10% to 35%.​
